I was born in Stockton California. The youngest of nine Children to Aurelio and Maria Navarro. I am the only one of the family born in the USA. The rest of my Family is from Los Altos De Jalisco, Mexico.
I went Public in Stockton and graduated from Edison High School in 1973. I was an active member of the high school band as a percussionist and also was a snare drummer for the Stockton Commodores Drum and Bugle Corp. I had the opportunity to travel the country to compete and in Dallas Texas placed 10th in the country at finals.
Completed my undergraduate work at the University of the Pacific in 1977 with a degree in Psychology, specialty in Applied Behavior Analysis and minor in Inter-American Studies. I was fortunate to attend Elbert Covell College. This college is a part of UOP and was started by John F. Kennedy in order to improve relations with Latin America.
In 1977 in married my Sweetheart Josephine and moved to the wonderful city of Modesto. I accepted a job at Valley Mountain Regional Center as a Behavior Analyst for nine years. I carried a case load of approximately 65 patients with an array of disabilities such as Autism, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy and Mental Retardation. I also had Dual Diagnose patients. Being Bilingual also awarded me to deal with Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Cambodian and any one else that was not English only. This was challenging but rewarding.
Josephine and I were blessed with Two Boys Ricardo and Christopher and now I have a Daughter in law Joanna. No Grand Children yet only a Granddog Enzo which if fine for now.
In 1985, I left VMRC to become a State Farm Agent. I always have kept myself involved in the community serving on the following boards for at leased Five year terms, Westside Health Clinic,Valley Mountain Regional Center, Center for Human Services and various boards at St. Stanislaus Church. I can't forget my term with Modesto sister city which I have served as VP for two terms, President for one term and always have been involved in the Aguascalientes committee. I am also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
I enjoy traveling whether it be by plan, train, sail, car or motorcycle. At one point in time I've done them all but for now am really enjoying Motorcycling all of North America. Hopefully I'll be expanding that in the future.
I enjoy camping and the out doors. I just took up Skeet shooting this year and hope to master this skill.
I have a deep interest in current World events as well as Historical. I very much enjoy my participation with Modesto Sister Cities and been a member since it was Modesto Friendship committee.
