The city of Kurume is located in the Fukuoka prefecture on Kyushu, the most southern island of Japan. It has been a sister city of Modesto since 1992.  

TRAVEL TO JAPAN

The Kurume committee is looking for students to participate in the 2011 summer youth exchange.  Students will spend 10 days with a host family in Kurume and will host a student from Kurume for 10 days. Students have a full itinerary, including site-seeing, a formal visit with the Mayor of Kurume as well as spending time with the Japanese host family.
